LMX2326 - 2.8 GHz PLLatinum Low Power Frequency Synthesizer for RF Personal Communications
The LMX2306/16/26 are monolithic, integrated frequency synthesizers with prescalers that are designed to be used to generate a very stable low noise signal for controlling the local oscillator of an RF transceiver.
When combined with a high quality reference oscillator and loop filter, the LMX2306/16/26 provide the feedback tuning voltage for a voltage controlled oscillator to generate a low phase noise local oscillator signal.
The LMX2306/16/26 feature ultra low current consumption; LMX2306 - 1.7 mA at 3V, LMX2316 - 2.5 mA at 3V, and LMX2326 - 4.7 mA at 3V.

 AWA_BFO.html
The Beat Frequency Oscillator (BFO) is an audio oscillator made by A.W.A. (Amalgamated Wireless Australia) in 1943.
The two oscillators are mixed in another 6J8G, and then filtered through a 2 stage Low Pass Filter, to remove any 100 kcs frequencies.
It is easy to use, has a single frequency control, can be adjusted for low level amplifier inputs, or can even drive a speaker.

 10 GHz SUPER-REGENERATIVE RECEIVER
A super-regenerative detector is based on the repeated build-up and decay of oscillation in an oscillator, which is caused to operate intermittently by means of a quenching signal supplied from a separate low frequency oscillator, or from a low-frequency relaxation of the oscillator itself.
Indeed to sufficiently lower the frequency needs a great thickness of low permittivity ceramic adding; on the contrary if the permittivity is high, the thickness will be lower but the ceramic temperature coefficient is very high usually.
An audio amplifier is all that is required after the SR with a low-pass filter in order to remove the quenching frequency, which could disturb the amplifier even into inaudibility.

 Ultra-low Noise Oscillators Test Data
The noise floor of the measurement system was determined by driving both frequency doublers with the same oscillator at approximately the average power level used in the phase noise measurements, This required the use of an external low noise amplifier to compensate for the losses in the power splitter.
The phase noise of these oscillators is extremely low, which makes it difficult to eliminate the biases in the measurements due to the noise floor of the measurement system and the contribution of the reference oscillator.
The phase noise measurements were made over a wide range of Fourier frequencies to be able to fit the phase noise to a model, and to check that the phase noise varied in a reasonable way with Fourier frequency.

Class 331: OSCILLATORS / U.S. Patent Classification Definitions
In general, beat frequency oscillators classified herein comprise means for beating two nonarbitrary sources of slightly different frequencies and of substantially equal amplitudes, the proximate purpose of the system being to produce a stable, high level, low frequency output wave (by selecting the lower side band).
Subject matter wherein the oscillator circuit is provided with means for performing at least one other function in addition to the generation of oscillations, which other function is independent of and is intended to be performed concurrently with the production of oscillations by the oscillator.
If only one oscillator is significantly claimed and the other oscillator or oscillators are merely recited by name only without any oscillator circuit detail being claimed, classification is elsewhere in this class in accordance with the nature of system or of the significant oscillator claimed.

 Communication
The opening of higher frequencies (those of the microwave region) to radar, with its attendant advantages, came about in late 1939 when the cavity magnetron oscillator was invented by British physicists at the University of Birmingham.
Both of these radars were available at the start of World War II, as was the navy's CXAM shipboard surveillance radar (at a frequency of 200 MHz).
The principle of radar was “rediscovered” at the NRL in 1930 when L.A. Hyland observed that an aircraft flying through the beam of a transmitting antenna caused a fluctuation in the received signal.

Each oscillator typically has a range control for setting the basic oscillator frequency (32', 16', 8' etc.), of which 'Low' is one of the options.
Putting low frequency control to one side for the moment, the use of audio oscillators for control purposes means that you can modulate another device while the modulating oscillator is operating in the audio frequency range.
Oscillator sync was introduced so that you could mix several oscillators without this problem.

 Introduction to Thermionic Valves
The dynatron is therefore not advised for ultra-high frequency work, in which the impedance of the oscillatory circuit is inevitably low.
However, the negative resistance flaw of the tetrode was put to good use; the cancellation of positive resistance and generation of oscillations in a resonant LC circuit anode load is the basis for an extraordinarily simple and versatile oscillator circuit known as the Dynatron.
Although this illustration describes "Amplified impulses passing to loud-speaker", in practice a transformer is required between the valve anode circuit and a loudspeaker, as the valve anode circuit is high impedance (high voltage, low current), whereas a loudspeaker is low impedance, requiring high current at low voltage.

Modified Colpitts oscillator for driving an antenna coil and generating a clock signal - Patent 5625327
In addition, the oscillator of the present invention allows the coil-capacitor segment, i.e., the LC circuit, of the oscillator circuit to run at an optimum frequency at all times in spite of nearby metal surfaces or the lack of an inductor having a precise value of inductance.
The carrier frequency is preferably generated by a simple oscillator circuit, the output of which is a low distortion signal coupled to an antenna coil for transmission to the transponder unit.
The oscillator circuit utilizes a pair of transistors coupled together with a feedback loop that includes a parallel LC circuit such that the output amplitude can be as high as a factor of 20 times the supply voltage or more while maintaining a high Q, low distortion output.
