  Lowenbrau beer - Germany
Lowenbrau makes (or made) a Hefeweissen beer that came in an 16oz can that was orange where the blue normally is, available in Germany and Holland that was amazingly good.
Lowenbrau dark is by far the best beer ive ever consumed along with the original not only were they great tasting but for less that $4.00 a 6 pack it was a great bargain i almost felt guilty getting such a fine beer for such a slim price.

Realbeer.com Beer Community - Lowenbrau Oktoberfest ca 1973-75?
If you had been lucky enough to find true Lowenbrau, imported from Munich (possibly to Canada), their Oktoberfest was probably more along the lines of Paulaner, Spaten, or Hacker-Pschorr Oktos you can find today -- though it seems like they change from year-to-year too.
Any Lowenbrau you were seeing in the late 70s (when I started enjoying beer) was probably made by Miller.
It was very malty, had the softest mouthfeel, and that distinctive Lowenbrau flavor (which I imagine came from the yeast and hops used???).

Lowenbrau Keller, Sydney - IgoUgo Reviews
If you love German food, this place is a must, and even if you don't, the variety of beer is mouthwatering: dark and pale wheat beers, Paulanger, Lowenbrau etc. You can people-watch outside while their German band plays renditions from the Sound of Music, or sit inside the beer hall.
Try their specialty, the Lowenbrau pork schnitzel with fries and herb mayo; it’s huge and only $22 (under £10!) The mixed sausage platter with sauerkraut and mash was also fab, as was the roasted pork knuckle.
All in all, it was a great night out, whether with a group of mates or a partner.
