 Oder River : Odra
The Oder (German) or Odra (Polish) river flows northward in Europe through parts of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany, emptying into the Baltic Sea.
The river flows from Czech Silesia, through Polish Lower Silesia[?], Ziemia Lubuska[?] (Lubusz Land) and German Brandenburg into the Baltic Sea north of Szczecin, Pomerania -- more exactly it flows into the Szczecin Bay (in Polish Zalew Szczeciski and in German Stettiner Haff).
English speakers generally refer to the river as the Oder, although as Eastern Europe has become more accessible to the West, more and more geographers, travel agents and journalists use both variants.

 [WikiEN-l] River names Oder/Odra and Neisse/Nysa
What do you think about that solution: call it "Oder" in articles relating to German regions (Lower Oder Valley National Park), call it "Odra" in articles relating to Polish regions (Szczecin).
As for Oder/Odra and Neisse/Nysa, these are common German-Polish rivers, so I don't see, why the name "Oder" should be forgotten in the future, as Space Cadet predicted.
If you agree, I change the name for the German regions back to "Oder" and link it to "Odra".

User talk:Taw - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In February Taw had last time the idea to change all occurrences of Odra to Oder, making comments like now ("this river is called Odra and not Oder"), not at all responding to the common sense, that a river may bear more than one name, which may both be correct.
If someone calls this "German propaganda", he must be blinded with ultra-nationalism, as it seems to be in your case.
The name "Oder" is in overwhelming use in English: every major English encyclopedia uses it, as do news organisations and even the English page on the Szczecin city website uses it.
