  My visit to Lublin, Poland
Lublin is in southeastern Poland where the land was formerly divided into great feudal estates, owned by a few aristocratic families, while the majority of the people were serfs or peasants.
Lublin is the easternmost city and the largest city in southeastern Poland; with five universities, it is the intellectual center of Poland.
Lublin was the headquarters of the SS and the Gestapo for the administration of Operation Reinhard, and also the headquarters for the Nazi party.

GAZ-51 was the best known, most popular, and longest produced Soviet truck.
With some changes it was produced until 1975.
The trucks were so popular that they were also manufactured under the Soviet license in Poland (as Lublin-51) and China.

Prior to W.W.II, she was sent to Poland where she first learned Polish and when Britain entered the war against Germany, she worked with the Polish underground in acts of sabotage and in returning downed fliers back to Britain.
She was 84, nearly blind and hobbling from the after effects of a broken hip.

Lublin suffered a $10,000 fire loss in the end of March, 1933 when a barber shop, soft drink parlor, restaurant, ice cream parlor, and rooming house burned.
Most of the original parishioners in Lublin were under the influence of the Unia, coming from the area of Galicia, southeast of Sanok; which was known as Carpatho-Russia.
Their first concern after settling in the vicinity of Lublin was to provide a place where they might worship and baptize and educate their children.

Among post-war collectible Eastern European trucks and commercial vehicles still cluttering the back lots, sheds and side streets of longitude 15 to 30 east and latitude 40 to 60 north, the Fiat, Jelcz, Lublin, Nysa, San, Star, Syrena, Warszawa and Zubr have all been manufactured in Poland.
Several other larger GAZ trucks were built during and after World War I. There are still a number of GAZ trucks in Poland, most of them acquired as military surplus, and some are being restored by dedicated new owners.
From 1951 in Lublin, the 2-ton GAZ-51 was built (with a Lublin emblem) at the location of the earlier MW LRL factory.

Well most of my toy tractors as a kid were "Farmall Red" Well when I was 12, I got my first "big IH" a Famrall A tractor..That was soon followed by a Farmall H and a Super C. there were a couple of Cub Cadet tractors in the lineup as well.
Well by the time I was 17, I sold all the tractors off, and I bought my first IHC truck shortly after I graduated at the age of 18.
THis truck is a '56 IHC S-130 Dually flatbed Farm truck.
