 | | Unicode is a standard for representing a great number of letters, symbols, and ideographic characters with unique codes, independently of what fonts are used to display them. |
 | | Unicode provides a unique number for every character, no matter what the platform, no matter what the program, no matter what the language is. Thus, now there is a system that rpovides adequate help in recognizing new characters and it is not going to have any negative effects to the memory of the computer. |
 | | The Consortium's technical activities are conducted by the Unicode Technical Committee, which is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and quality of the Unicode Standard. |
