  Dreams: Lucile
The Lucile series also provides an opportunity to show that there are revealing differences in her interactions with specific individuals in her dreams, and that these interactions are continuous with her waking life.
Lucile dreams most often about her husband, whom she saw every day until his death about four years after she started sending dreams to Hall.
Lucile is very close to her daughter, whom she dreams of very frequently, and has many more friendly than aggressive interactions with her, which -- according to her replies to Hall's inquiries -- is also the case in waking life.

Encyclopedia Titanica Message Board: Madame Lucile
Doug asked if Lucile came up with the romantic names by which she called her "frocks." The idea she actually revived from the time of Louis XVI when Rose Bertin, "Marchande Des Modes" to Marie-Antoinette, called all her hats and dresses for the queen and her court by quaint and sometimes ridiculous names.
For her gowns, Lucile had a penchant for names that evoked the boudoir of course, which was her trademark "angle." And no she did not have a marketing director.
Lucile was far from offended and she said she even sent Corelli a letter of thanks, telling her that because of her newspaper rant, her salons were more crowded than ever!
