Lucky Starr series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lucky Starr is the hero of a series of books by Isaac Asimov, using the pen name "Paul French".
Intended for juveniles, the books were written in the middle of the Cold War and the series shows traces of this, both in educational intent and in the nature of the social forces involved.
The series was written at the start of the cold war, when many concerned scientists, engineers and educators in the United States felt that their country, and what they considered to be the free world, was falling behind the communist bloc in scientific research and engineering developments.

RINGO STARR biography and his life as a Beatle and drum playing ability
Starr had emerged from the studio after a long day of work and commented to the others that it had been a "hard day's..." - before he finished his sentence, Starr noticed that it was now night time and added "night".
Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey, was the drummer in the Beatles from 1962 to 1970 and thus one of the most famous musicians of the '60s.
Starr was also suffering from the excesses of his lifestyle, but by the late '80s he had cleaned up, and in 1989 he toured with his "All-Starr Band." In 1992, he signed to Private Music and released a new studio album, Time Takes Time.

 The Compo Company
The Starr name was maintained, with its "Gennett" sub-credit deleted, and a new 10000 series using Plaza material and 23000 series using Compo material replaced the 9000 Starr-Gennett series, which dwindled to a halt in early 1925.
The Starr name would continue into the late 1940s, long after the parent firm itself left the record business; it was apparently restricted primarily to Quebec, with French-language material appearing on an 11000 series and a 12000, later becoming 15000 series.
In early 1931, the 81000 series was unaccountably dropped and a similar 91000 series phased in, with a 93000 series paralleling the 83000 series, used as a catch-all for Compo's own recordings and sides from miscellaneous U.S. sources; primarily the new Crown label (which was unrelated to the Canadian label of the same name).
