20th WCP: Conflict Between Efficiency and Sense of "Ludus"
It is apparently opposed to the sense of "ludus" that is greatly valued in Brazilian culture.
On the other hand, Brazilian writers have time and again described and praised the value of a sense of "ludus", playfulness, therefore indicating that it is a value of their own culture.
To solve the problem, an analogy is drawn between the sense of playfulness, "ludus", described and praised by Brazilian authors, and the sense of detachment proposed by Jacques Ellul as a condition for bringing about real civilization with technological progress.

 Ludus Biography
The distinctive Ludus sound was in place from the outset, combining angular, jazz-informed music, often with irregular free-form arrangements, with Linder's unflinching lyrical exploration of sexual politics and cultural anxiety.
At the same time Ludus continued to play live, chiefly in the Manchester area and the North West, although occasional London shows included the Electric Ballroom in November 1979 with Psychedelic Furs and the Monochrome Set, the ICA Rock Week in June 1980, and another date with the Furs at the Lyceum in September.
Although Ludus had been press-darlings without releasing a record in their first incarnation, 1980 and 1981 had seen the band offer up a string of challenging records and part-improvised live shows.
