Reichenbach also cautions against a possible misunderstanding of the multiplicity of observers in some expositions of the theory of relativity: observers are used only for convenience; the relativity of simultaneity has nothing to do with the relativity of observers.
Reichenbach asserts that it is possible to define an entropy for the whole universe and the statistical theory proves that the entropy of the universe first increases and then decreases; thus we can define a direction of time only for sections of time, not for the whole time.
Reichenbach asserts that Heisenberg indeterminacy principle is not due to the alleged interference an observer exerts on particles (the explanation of indeterminacy principle in terms of an interference is due to Heisenberg).

Baron Dr. Carl (Karl) Ludwig von Reichenbach (full name: Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Reichenbach) (February 12, 1788, Stuttgart - January 19, 1869, Leipzig, Germany) was a notable chemist, geologist, metallurgist, naturalist, industrialist and philosopher, a member of the prestigious Prussian Academy of Sciences, and considered one of the top 1,000 scientists of all times.
Reichenbach was educated at the University of Tübingen, where he obtained the degree of doctor of philosophy.
Baron Von Reichenbach usually lived in a castle at Reisenberg, which was provided with an extensive scientific library and several scientific collections, among which one of the finest of the world on meteorites; as well as Sieber's great herbarium.

Reichenbach's book is a classic text, the first (I think) to focus on the philosophical aspects of quantum mechanics.
Since it was written around the time that quantum mechanics was born, it does not deal with modern discussion on the subject.
Reichenbach does solid work, however, and this is a valuable resource for anyone interested in these issues.

The genus is named for Friedrich Ludwig Gottlob Frege, a German philosopher and mathematician, and pronounced "FRAY-gee-uh."

The bird was reclassified in 1854 as Archilochus by Ludwig Reichenbach, director of the Dresden Zoological Museum.
Archilochus is Greek for "chief brigand." It was coined from archos, meaning "chief," or "first in importance," and lochus, "ambush" or "a company of men." It is thought that Reichenbach chose this Latin word because the bird steals pollen from flowers and then dashes away.

With the recommendation of the Prince de Rohan behind him, Leopold made an acquaintance with Ludwig Reichenbach, the then director of the Dresden botanical gardens and natural history museum.
Reichenbach exhibited Leopold’s glass flower collection in 1863 and this lead to a commission by one of the museum’s curators to produce a dozen glass replica sea anemones, which he decided would make a much better marine invertebrate display than their pickled counterparts in glass jars.
It was at this time that Leopold moved his family to Dresden and set up a permanent studio there.
