Luis Guzman is not what you'd call "pretty." He's also a visible minority.
Guzman has since graduated to film roles that capitalize on his bad-ass look, hard-bitten-good-guy demeanor, or some combination of the two: Q&A, Carlito's Way, Guilty as Sin, The Bone Collector, and One Tough Cop, to name a few.
Guzman also played a hapless con (Out of Sight), a lovable con (The Limey), and an affable DEA agent who's down on The Man (Traffic) for Steven Soderbergh, bringing a little comic relief to some otherwise tense films.

Guzman recently spoke to IGN DVD about his latest film, about his approach to inhabiting a role or character, and an unlikely place to catch an early screening of Rise to Power prior to its release on DVD September 27, 2005.
