Trivia: Some events in the band's history were obviously inspired by actual events involving real-life bands: Brian's absence from the band resembles Syd Barrett's departure from Pink Floyd due to a drug-induced nervous breakdown; Beano's tardiness for a gig echoes that of Keith Moon, the notoriously erratic drummer for The Who.
The character of Ray appears to be inspired in some part by David Lee Roth, flamboyant front-man for Van Halen, who eventually was ousted after a long and stormy relationship with lead guitarist Edward Van Halen.
Goofs: Audio/visual unsynchronized: At the end of the song "Dirty Town", a sustained chord is heard on the guitar which is punctuated by the guitarist rapidly switching the guitar's toggle pickup selector.
