PRESIDENT Mwanawasa says the death of former Bank of Zambia governor and minister in the Second Republic Luke Mwananshiku is a great loss to the nation.
Mr Mwanawasa told the Press shortly after consoling the bereaved family at the funeral house in Makeni in Lusaka yesterday that it was a blow to the nation to lose yet another elder statesman within a short space of time after the death of UNIP stalwart Alex Shapi.
Mr Mwananshiku was minister of Foreign Affairs in the UNIP government and also one time board chairman of ZCCM and a director for the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
