Lutyens, a composer who taught music at the Cambridge School of Weston from 1965 to 1974 and gave others music lessons in her Weston home, died of cancer at her home in Falmouth, Maine, on July 22.
Lutyens was a petite woman with "a dramatic and unassuming flair" in spite of her shyness, Alfiero said.
Lutyens leaves another daughter, Lesley of Cambridge; two sons, Thomas Speare of Newport, R.I., and Christopher of Jamestown, R.I.; a brother, Christopher Nolde of Washington; a sister, Frances Nolde of Boxborough; and four grandchildren.

Born in London on 29 March 1869 the eleventh child of a soldier-turned-painter, Lutyens suffered severe illness during childhood - said to be rheumatic fever - which left him in too delicate a condition to be sent to school; he was consequently educated after a fashion by one of his brothers.
Lutyens' talent was publicly recognised with his election as Associate of the Royal Academy in 1913.
In 1921 Lutyens was awarded the Royal Gold Medal of the R.I.B.A. Three years later he was similarly honoured by the Institute of American Architecture, again with a Gold Medal.

The Cenothaph was originally commissioned by David Lloyd George as a temporary structure to be the centerpiece of the Allied Victory Parade in 1919.
Largely designed by Lutyens over twenty or so years, New Delhi was chosen to replace Calcutta as the seat of the British Indian government in 1912; the project was completed in 1929 and officially inaugurated in 1931.
