		Lviv is located on the verge of the Roztocze Upland, approximately seventy kilometres from the Polish border.
		Lviv was founded by King Danylo of the Ruthenian duchy of Halych-Volhynia, and named in honor of his son, Lev.
		Lviv and its population suffered greatly from the two world wars, the Holocaust, and the invading armies of the period.

	HRW: Women’s Work: Discrimination Against Women in the Ukrainian Labor Force: GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
		An inspector with the State Territorial Labor Inspectorate for Lviv Oblast similarly tried to describe discriminatory advertising as primarily a media issue, beyond the purview of the labor inspectors.
