The town of Lyaskovets is situated at the beginning of the Balkan mountains (the Elena Balkan), east of the Arbanassi ridge, under the cliff upon which is the St.St. Peter and Paul Monastery, 10 km northeast of Veliko Turnovo, 2 km southeast of Gorna Oryahovitsa and 5 km south of the Yantra river.
The town of Lyaskovets is in the Veliko Turnovo region and is a centre of a municipality with 17000 inhabitants that includes the villages of Dzhulyunitsa, Dobri dyal, Kozarevets, Dragizhevo and Merdanya.
Lyaskovets is near the important railway station and the international airport of Gorna Oryahovitsa.

The project envisages the construction of installations for collection and treatment of the urban wastewater in compliance with the national and the European requirements.
The official ceremony was attended by representatives of the European Commission in Bulgaria, Ministry of Finance, the National Fund, the Public International Financial Control Agency, the mayor of Lyaskovets municipality and representatives of the project contractor and supervisor.

The Petropavlovski monastery, known also as Lyaskovets monastery, is one of the 14 monasteries built in the neighbourhood of the old capital of Bulgaria, Veliko Turnovo, during the Second Bulgarian State (12-14th century).
The monastery, named after St Peter and St Pavel, is one of the best preserved monasteries from that time, not least because of its hard-to-reach location.

They have so far conquered the 604m Mizia peak, located in the so-called Vidin eminences, which rise in the northern part of the Livingston Island, that has not been conquered by a man so far.
The expedition has studied the routes to Lyaskovets Peak and Falsa Aguja Peak, as it is set to improve the mapping of the mountain massif of Tangra, situated on Livingston Island in the South Shetlands archipelago.
