Lynda Waltho, MP for Stourbridge, West Midlands, rolled up her sleeves on 24 February to help WRVS volunteers deliver a few of the 280 meals that go to older and housebound people in the Stourbridge area.
Whilst there, Lynda was able to meet with visitors, volunteers and employees to learn about the reinvestment that WRVS is making into this community centre and other centres like it.
Lynda accepted our invitation to visit the community centre ahead of its refurbishment to see how she could offer her support in the future.

Mrs Waltho has written to the Department of Trade and Industry calling for a ban on the world's largest marine mammal hunt.

Steve Waltho and his son James, aged 15, will be heading off on the walk on Monday from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire in aid of Action Heart and Lupus West Midlands.
Former Wordsley councillor Mr Waltho is no stranger to challenges having already completed a Lands End to John O’Groats bike ride as well as cycling the Pennine Way, a sponsored parachute jump, marathon snooker and table tennis events.
Steve’s wife – Stourbridge MP Lynda Waltho – is also backing her family’s efforts and has recently joined the All Party Parliamentary Group on Lupus and has been appointed vice-chairman of the group on heart disease.

Lynda has been a loyal ally of the Stourbridge Line User Group and played a vital role in carrying forward our campaign for a Birmingham New Street terminus.

Well Prague, Lynda Waltho won more votes than the Conservative Candidate Diana Coad at the 2005 general election, which means, under our electoral system, as you well know, Lynda Waltho was "elected" as MP for Stourbridge for this current Parliament.
You sound to me a like a man wanting to start a PR debate perhaps, which, if you are, fine, but that's not the system we use in this country, so you will have to live with the 2005 result.
