| | Sunalp Mountain Guides - English - Winter climbing in Lyngen (Site not responding. Last check: ) |
 | | For more alpine winter climbing Lyngen has several classic lines at approx 1000meters length in almost any part of the Lyngen Alps. |
 | | This includes ridges, faces, colouires, pillars etc. Some massifs that are well known are the Jægervasstindan and Store Lenangstind in the north-western part of Lyngen, and Jiehkkivàrre, Lakselvtindan, Gukkesgaisa/Langdalstind and Piggtind in the southwest. |
 | | As for accommodation, there are some public chalets 2-4km into some of the valleys in Lyngen (Kvalvikdalen, Fastdalen, Rottenvik), but these might prove impractical for you climbing various places each day. |
