Here at Lysator there is a group of people that wants to arrange something they call "V{rldsmudkonferens" (would translate to World MUD conference or something like that) and they have chosen the weekend 17-19 June.
Since this is very probably is the same month, possibly the same weekend, that NUCCC is arranged there is a possible conflict of interests.
As of now, it is just some of the lysator members disagreeing on this matter.

This is a system for maintainign a queue of music to play through the speaker system, so that everyone can get their vote.
So, since I did not really feel like fixing the one written in C to using any hardware other than the quite, ehum, special sound card used at Lysator, I wrote a new one in pike, as a Roxen 1.2 module, using threads this time.
This one has a "nifty" X interface and was developed together with my brother at Lysator back in '94.

 Blake's 7 Mailing List, News groups etc
While not a fan club in the usual sense of the word, the Blake's 7 mailing list run from Lysator is one of the main meeting places for fans online and usually has some interesting topics of discussion going on.
It is complementary to the Lysator list and many people are members of both.
The 'Spin' list is for topics on the Lysator Blake's 7 list that drift wildly off topic but still have people wanting to talk about them.

Lysator is down for server upgrade and maintenance.
Hmmm, I just wonder how long of an upgrade/server maintenance this is supposed to be with lysator...

 Blake's 7 mailing list FAQ
The files at Lysator are accessible through anonymous ftp, gopher, and WWW browsers; recently, B7 stuff has also become available at a couple of WWW sites.
Lysator is nice enough to run a ftp-by-mail program, meaning that if you can send and receive e-mail, you can get anything from the archives.
Kathryn Andersen's long list of fan club and fanzine editors' addresses can be found in the ftp files at lysator in the misc subdirectory (pub/blake7/misc) under the file name "addresses." Rather than repeat all that, I've listed the names and addresses of organizations who have members on the list.

As discussed on nuccc-93 I added links to the stacken gopher service in the lysator gopher server.
The paths: (This menu has far too many lines)/ Academic technical societies/ Non-local university computer clubs/ Stacken, the computer club at kth, Stockholm Sweden...Other university computer clubs/ Stacken, the computer club at kth, Stockholm Sweden fetches the information about stacken provided in the stacken gopher 0/clubInformation.
As further discussed I will make sure that the lysator gopher server allows you to browse the other clubs ftp-sites also.

Unfortunately, it looks like Lysator's project web servers will be off-line for quite some time, perhaps forever.
What a shame, considering that Lysator had Sweden's first web server online back in february 1993 — server number 10 in the world.
AHI has now moved completely to Berlios; sadly, that means that the old v4 site is gone (at least until I can find a server that still runs Roxen 1.3).
