M20 motorway - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When the motorway was extended westwards towards London in the 1970s, it was renamed M20 and the A2020 reverted back to A20.
In the 1980s the motorway between Ashford and Folkestone (J9-13) was built, but by 1981 the M20 was in 2 pieces separated by a 14 mile gap between Junctions 8 and 9.
This closes the motorway between the two junctions and uses the area as a lorry park until the ferries and Channel Tunnel are fully running again.

The motorway also had no hard shoulder, just a couple of emergency lay-bys with SOS phones and lights at the end of the west bound carraigeway; many say this means it did not deserve motorway status.

 CBRD - Bad Junctions - A21-M25-M26
The point where London's orbital meets the A21, a major route to the south coast, and the M26, a shortcut between the M25 in the south and the M20 towards the Channel Ports.
The priority route is M25 to M26 - while a fair amount of traffic does go that way, surely the M25 should have priority over all else, what with it being a ring road to 6 milion people and the busiest road in the country.
A point you neglect is that if you want to leave the M25 heading clockwise/south on the A21 is that you have to leave the motorway by a slip road in the outside lane, which is confusing in the least, and if a slow lorry is wanting to get there, probably a danger.
