 Jamaica Gleaner - Drug mules - Thursday | April 18, 2002
The picture that emerges is that she had gone to England as a drug mule, died after she got there from the drug overdose and evidently was dumped from a vehicle onto the motorway presumably by those who had arranged for her to embark on this journey of death.
If her identity is not established, and it appears that care was taken to ensure that this would be difficult to do, she will be buried as a 'Jane Doe' in an unmarked grave somewhere in Northamptonshire, unmourned and without the presence of those she knew.
Clearly the crackdown is producing results and fewer of the drug mules are making the flight to Britain to be dumped on busy motorways when they die from drug overdose, or convicted and sent to British prisons in the populations of which Jamaican women are already over-represented.
