During Operation Allied Force, an MC-130P Combat Shadow participated in a combat search and rescue mission for the pilot of a downed F-117A stealth fighter.
The Combat Shadow crew took off enroute to Bosnia-Herzegovina for a rendezvous with three rescue helicopters.

The airmen were called upon by South Korean military officials to rescue 6th ROK Marine Brigade troops who were injured when their vehicle ran off a road during a snowstorm on Paeng Nyong, one of five South Korean islands within sight of North Korea in the Yellow Sea.
The helicopter landed at Seoul Airport — called K-16 air base by the U.S. military — and the injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
