		I started mcing in 1995 on a pirate station called Radio Active on 107.40FM with my mate DJ P.D.F. who played old skool d'n'b.
		The texts & calls were going mad & a listener called in to say that the DJ was playing a blinding set & the MC had good lyrics & took all the listeners on a magical ride.

		That's why it's kinda hard for me to define hip hop outside of the elements because everything else is left up to individuals to bring out their individual ideas on it.
		From fashion and freaking your clothes a certain way to MC's who use the basic criteria of MCing and then adding their own personal spin to it to B-Boys who learn the basics as well and then do their own thing.

		Reminds me of when I saw IC3 being the safe geeza that he is, going b2b with some pilled up chav with his top off in the crowd with Mampi swift at a local night.
		And also some bouncers would argue that its not 'their job' to keep mic blaggers away...they get paid to go on the door, and oversee the smooth running of the night throughout the whole club, so probably won't wanna spend all night fixed to a spot standin next to the mc's.
		Always happens, does spoil yr flow / mood and can really kill the vibe for ya, i think all promoters who cant afford the extra for a security dude up front should at least put up signs saying "hassle the mc and get the boot" - this should be standard.
