		I think that 4700rpm would be a better cut in point for the MIVEC as it has a tendency to fall under 5500 rpm to about 4900 when upshifting, but then this should not happen with the 5spd because of the much shorter gear ratios.
		It is similar to Honda's VTEC system, but differs from it in the fact that the MIVEC system activates at a lower RPM and has a slightly more conservative cam grind, allowing the transition to appear more subtle at the cost of higher RPM performance.

		From what I've read online and in magazines, Mitsubishi made the MIVEC 1.6L, which is an inline 4-cylinder engine, and the MIVEC 2.0L, a V6.
		I've not read anything about a MIVEC 1.8L, though they are working on a MIVEC for their SUV lineup.
		Although, if you took the head off of a 1.8L and replaced it with the head of a MIVEC 1.6L, you could (theoretically) create a hybrid, sort of along the same lines as the Acura LS-to-VTEC ("Frankenstein") swap.

		As the intake camshaft’s actual and target sprocket angles meet, the oil pressure in the advance and the retard chambers is held to maintain the phase angle of the camshaft.
		But as i stated earlier MIVEC is great for the average Evo owner because the variable valve timing is useful to conserve fuel and help with driveability and idling.
		I think with the MIVEC it will be the same, some people wont use it for the fear of just not knowing how to tune it correctly, but those who do will be passing everybody else that doesnt have it up.

		A MIVEC LSD gearbox would be a neat addition to my Stage 2 Satria R3 with its higher final drive and longer first gear ratio.
		FYI, the product code for MIVEC gearboxes are the same as the stock 1.8 ones, with exception of the ending four letters, which also denotes if it is LSD-enabled or not.
		mivec gearboxes have strong 1st and 2nd gear but from the 2nd to 3rd gear, and so on.
