In response to the confusion that has arisen from the Team/Player Naming Rules, MLG would like to take a moment to clarify a few things that will help to dispel the misconceptions that may be floating around in the community.
First and foremost, MLG recognizes that sponsorships are very important to both amateur and professional teams, and we will make our best efforts to accommodate player/team sponsors whenever possible.
MLG Reserves the right to require players to remove sponsor apparel/logos when they are appearing on camera for content and programming produced by/for MLG.
MLG was featured in an MTV "True Life" episode entitled "I'm a Professional Gamer," centering on MLG-contracted players "Tsquared" and "KillaOR".
MLG and Victor de Leon III, alias "LiL Poison," were featured on 60 Minutes (CBS), along with pro gamer Johnathan Wendel, alias "Fatal1ty".
MLG was also featured in a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, noting that MLG has recently acquired $10 million dollars in funding to help craft the league.
