Rajasekhara Reddy has requested the Centre to either prescribe adoption of standard gauge for the system or allow States to take decisions based on local needs.
MMTS as I already said is a misnomer.

MMTS is a joint project of the Railways and the Andhra Pradesh government launched in 2003.
Quite surprisingly, in the MMTS route itself, there is a DHMU running early in the morning and late in the evening from Sec'bad to Umdanagar.
I love Hyderabad for the simplicity of the people, accomodative nature, a moderate climate excep summer, still cheap in many respects, centrally located to reach any part of the country etc. But the Topography and unprganised Real Estate growth not accompanied by Infrastructure has led to deterrioration in civic utilities and Transport services.

The much-awaited bus connectivity to MMTS stations in the city is finally taking shape with the State Road Transport Corporation's Hyderabad City Region proposing to introduce 50 buses on specified routes in a phased manner.
