what weapon is this? - Day Of Defeat Forums
First I thought it was a mp28 because of the magasine that's sideways on the gun but I'm not sure tho.
the mp38 has the same design as the mp40 with some minor touches to it, I think it was an mp28 because I saw an other picture with a german soldier in the ghetto with an mp28 so it's perfectly possible it is one, tho I'm not sure http://fcit.coedu.usf.edu/holocaust/GALL31R/26535.htm
mp28 is my guess, as its defintely got a straight magazine and the MP18 is at an angle.

Both MP28 and the 29-kDa precursor to MP23 accumulate on vacuolar membranes before the deposition of storage proteins, and then the precursor is converted to the mature MP23 at the late stage.
The pMP23 and MP28 proteins stably accumulated in the yeast vacuolar membrane when the proteins were expressed in the proteinase A-deficient strain (pep4), which lacks the activities of vacuolar proteases.
However, pMP23 and MP28 did not accumulate in the wild-type strain; the expressed pMP23 and MP28 were degraded in a proteinase A-dependent manner.

The stock looks like a Schmeisser MP28, of which several thousands had been acquired for the DEI forces in the 1930s.
Re: submachinegun ID October 18 2005, 4:03 AM If you look, the SMG is sitting on top of a what appears to be a Mosin Nagant carbine, and what looks like belted ammo for a third weapon...definitely a broad variety of weapons were in use.
The magazine well could be bigger if it was chambered for something other than 9mm Parabellum, some of the MP28 clones were produced firing various 9mm "long" rounds.

Does anyone uses Muscle Power 28? - Badminton Central Discussion Forums
Hi i am from malaysia too, hehe good to hear that you have got a MP28 too, its a good racket to play with, just wait til your level reach up to in between intermediate and advance, then get a new racquet.
The Mp28 is the most balanced allround racket in the MP range.
The only reason I switched to the ns8k was that the mp28 being medium flex started to feel too flexible to me so i went to a extra stiff racket.

MP35 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The MP35 (maschinenpistole 1935) was a submachine gun used by the German Army and police during World War II.
It was developed in the early 1930's by the German gun company Bergmann from the earlier Bergmann submachine gun, the MP28, itself developed from the first submachine gun, the Bergmann MP18.
The MP35 was produced in a short model (weight 4.2 kilograms, length 850 millimeters) and a long model (weight 4.5 kg, length 950 mm).

MP18 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It was first used by the German Army during World War I.
While MP18 production ended in the 1920s (supplanted by the MP28), its derivatives formed the basis for many submachine guns design in the 1920s and the 1930s.
After the war a 20 round box magazine would also be made for the MP18, though these were not compatible with the MP28.

Lanchester smg - FileFront Gaming Forums
Lanchester is direct copy of the bergman mp28 with a british bayonet lug.
If remember correctly, the only SMG's the Brits had in stock at the begining of the war were Lanchesters and some Thompsons.I think that the MP28 looks enough like the MP18 so you could just bum the model off of the chaps at BF1918.
Of course someone will find that the MP28 actually has three more holes than the MP18 and will flame me for it, but I'm willing to take the risk.

Here, the Astra 400, I don't think I need to say nothing about it, the holster is a nice repro of the original issued one.
The submachine gun is the spanish copy of the German MP28, a very high quality copy, as good as the original, chambered for 9 Largo:
The first SMG is a Spanish copy of the German MP28, it has same quality of the original and it was in service between 1935 to 1945 aprox.
