| | OVERVIEW OF A DATABASE SYSTEM FOR MAGNET MEASUREMENTS |
 | | This document will introduce the MTF data management system by identifying the database users, identifying special features of SYBASE which are important to this design, describing the overall schema for data storage, describing documentation and implementation practices at MTF, and discussing the tools and utilities which MTF users will utilize. |
 | | A database schema must declare the tables in which data is to be stored and specify the columns (attributes) which are to be described in that table, the relations between columns in that table and other tables in the schema, and permissions, indices, keys and related details of the table specification. |
 | | The MTF testing systems is planned on the basis of testing multiple subjects (usually magnets) in a series with the same design features for all things in the series. |
