THEATER REVIEW: Once Upon A Mattress -- MIT’s Regal Production
Unique characters and their actors made the play entertaining, while the performance of Cinda Lavely was that of a true virtuoso amid a great production.
MTG’s Once Upon A Mattress dazzled with humor and innovation at every turn and effective set, orchestra, choreography, and costumes.
Once the play began, the storybook split in two, one half going to each side behind the castle.

The Sligh-brary: a repository for Sligh MtG deck info
Fascinated as I am with the Sligh deck--its simplicity in design, its accessibility in play, and especially its rejuvination of some of my favorite MtG "characters" such as the Ironclaw Orcs--I have collected quite a few posts from other Sligh players and researchers.
Sligh is a mature strategy, having weathered several Pro events, changes to the basic environment (loss of Lightning Bolt, Dragon Whelp, etc. being the biggest impacts), and certainly not least the fact that a second-turn Ironclaw Orc pretty much announces to the whole tournament that You Are Playing Sligh.
Understanding Sligh, an article describing the mana curve, efficient creatures, and why the Holy Grail of Sligh is playing a land and tapping out every turn, for the first four turns.

Fascinated as I am with the Sligh deck--its simplicity in design, its accessibility in play, and especially its rejuvination of some of my favorite MtG "characters" such as the Ironclaw Orcs--I have collected quite a few posts from other Sligh players and researchers.
I've decided to share these with the MtG players of the net, partly to spread the word about this neat little deck design, and partly in hopes that seeing this will prompt some additional material from others.
These decks are a recent development, in reaction to the return to T2 of Barbed Sextant, the Ice Age "Painlands", City of Brass, Undiscovered Paradise, etc., all of which make it very easy for an otherwise mono-color deck to "splash" a second or even a third color.

 Shadowfist
In Shadowfist, you play site cards to accumulate power, and you spend your power on characters, events, states, and edges, all of which you use in the service of kicking your opponent's butt.
In a welcome relief from the wearisome self-importance of the MtG's universe, Shadowfist is in touch with how bizarre its world is. The cards' artwork, and particularly their text, are full of deft bits of weirdness.
But instead of being set in the hoary world of swords-and-sorcery fantasy, the Shadowfist universe is based on the cheesy, preposterous, and often plain weird world of Hong Kong action-adventure movies.
