		Like its "sister stations," VH1 Classic, VH1 Soul, VH1 Country, MTV Hits, VH1 Mega Hits, and previously MTVX, MTV Jams is available exclusively on digital cable packages or satellite TV providers, such as DirecTV.
		The replacement of MTVX with MTV Jams was decried by many rock music fans.
		For a while, MTV Jams' playlist was becoming more predictable and less random than it originally was at its inception; the new videos that were in heavy rotation were sometimes spun once an hour or once every two hours.

		I believe that this is a disgrace that MTV took away one of their only channels devoted to rock, and instead, replaced it with MTVJams (which is an R&B/rap channel).

	Musician Forums - An outrage
		I recently turned on my T.V. to channel 309 and then I saw MTV Jams which is a rap channel which would be alright if they wouldn't have taken MTVX away completely and to top it all off they added another channel MTV Hits which is 70% rap anyway and the other 30% is pop.
		MTVx still only plays the pop rock that u would hear on a local radio station.
		MTVx refused to play The Murderers by SFU because it is "Too Extreme." Start Taking some ****in chances, MTV!!

		MTVX was a 24 hour, commercial free, dj free, hard rock and roll video station.
		What I propose is for each of you to help me in getting MTVX back on the air.

		Although the truth is that out of the 800 or so channels that I now get, there's still nothing good on, one of the nice things was a channel called MTVX.
		MTVX was an MTV channel that played nothing but rock videoes 24 hours a day.
		This is a refreshing change from MTV and MTV2, which pretty much play nothing but current one-hit-blunders, rap and R&B. As of May 1, MTVX has changed format.

		I've noticed over the past year that MTV has been playing more actual videos than they were a few years ago, but they are still just the same 10 videos from TRL over and over and over again.
		I think MTVx was probably their last chance at keeping any viewers over the age of 15 on their network.
		I haven't heard about it getting canceled, although anytime these days I have flipped to it it seems as if some other annoying MTV VJ was hosting or a celebrity guest instead of Carson Daly.

		I was at my friends house and he was flipping threw the channels and I saw some rap video with 144 (the channel for MTVX here) in the top corner and thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me but this confirms it.
		MTVX was really the only channel I watched, and I didn't really watch it.
		But I did put it on MTVX and have that running in the background while I'm on the computer or playing bass or whatever.

		The disappearance of MTVX had nothing to do with not making enough profit.

		Yes, MTVX does usually play a good variety of new and old rock and metal.
		I don't think it is based on requests though because I remember a few months back watching it, and then a few days later seeing them play the same exact videos and segments in the exact same order.

		Rap and R&B are all the rage, with MTV playing almost solely these styles not only on the flagship station, but MTV2 and MTV Jams.
		There used to be a station for the rock and metal, MTVX, but that was canned a long time ago.
		Combine that loss with the atmosphere of metal today.
