 Tsing Ma Bridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tsing Ma Bridge (Chinese: 青馬大橋; Cantonese: cing1 maa5 daai6 kiu4; Mandarin: Qīngmǎ dàqiáo) (named after two islands of Tsing Yi (青衣島) and Ma Wan (馬灣) in Cantonese), of Hong Kong is the world's sixth largest suspension bridge (22° 21N, 114° 04 E).
The Tsing Ma Bridge links Tsing Yi Island on the east to Ma Wan island on the west over Ma Wan Channel.
The other two bridges are the Kap Shui Mun Bridge linking Ma Wan to Lantau Island over Kap Shui Mun, and the Ting Kau Bridge, linking Tsing Yi Island and Tuen Mun and Yuen Long, over Rambler Channel.

 Tsing Ma Bridge
The Tsing Ma Bridge, which spans 1377m across the busy Ma Wan Channel, is the second longest bridge in the world after the Humber Bridge in Britain.
The Tsing Ma Bridge was designed to carry two three-lane carriageways on the upper deck and two railway tracks on the lower deck.
The deck of the Tsing Ma bridge is pin-jointed to the reinforced concrete structure of the Ma Wan viaduct at one end and rests on a sliding joint which also acts as the expansion joint at the other end of Tsing Yi.

 HKMBA - Chi Ma Wan
The trail is natural until you reach Shui Tseng Wan, at which point the natural surface is replaced by concrete.
This loop was opened in 1998 after lobbying by the HKMBA to improve access on the Chi Ma Wan Peninsula and is a very gentle ride apart from the middle section, around 1/5 of the route, which involves a fair amount of bicycle portage.
At this point you can either follow the left hand trail and do the full Chi Ma Wan Trail, which is a further two hour ride (longer in summer), or call it a day and take the right hand trail which will bring you back to the trail cross-roads just mentioned.
