MacAddict is good at keeping their content carefree and humorous yet at the same time maintaining good taste.
Otherwise, I remember MacAddict being the magazine I would read while I had a PC, and I would sit there and look at shots of Jaguar and be like "Man, Mac's are a lot better now." Needless to say, I switched.

One of the most well-known and prolific magazines in the Mac world, MacAddict, is slated to be completely re-vamped according to a recent Craigslist posting for an Editor-in-Chief.
As MacAddict has aged so has its base and with age prospered financially; bringing along their youthful exuberance with an ability to fulfill desires beyond their means a decade ago.
For all the respect I have for the talent of the MacAddict crew and their publishers, declining revenues are not conductive to effervecense.

MacAddict is, indeed, changing its name to MacLife early next year.
The name MacAddict was from another time (1996), back when our stories were about "Fighting Back for the Mac." Apple was on the ropes, and a feisty attitude was exactly the right tack to take.
When MacAddict launched in September of 1996, its first cover contained the message "Why the Mac's Future Is Bright," but the article that accompanied that statement had more than a little whistling in the dark in it.

The Mac Observer--MacAddict One Of Four Tech Mags That Sees Growth
Today however, the good people at MacAddict have announced that they were one of only four high-tech print mags to see an increase in circulation AND print-ad pages in the 1st quarter of 1999.
The CPAR April 12th edition reports MacAddict (http://www.macaddict.com) posting 19.8% growth in advertising pages and a 78.2% increase in advertising revenue in Q1 '99 versus the same quarter a year ago.
MacAddict is certainly one of the exceptions as it breaks most of the rules that Mac magazines have followed for years, but any print magazine that is able to grow in terms of print-ad space and circulation is an indicator, a very important indicator, that the market that they are serving is healthy.
