MacHack, the "Advanced Developers Hands-On Conference," today announced new one-day training sessions to be held on Wednesday, June 18.
The Cocoa training, which will be lead by veteran Mac developer Chris Hanson, covers the full spectrum of Cocoa development, from the declaration of classes and NSObject, all the way to advanced UI elements and concepts, and will include lab exercises to allow attendees to understand the architecture from experience.
MacHack conference registration costs $500 (a $50 discount until 4/15/03) and includes access to all conference events, 3 meals and the conference banquet.

 Melancholy and the infinite MacHack
MacHack had its own culture and traditions, and was as much a social & networking event as an opportunity to learn & show off neat tricks.
I'm still sort of hoping this isn't really true, and still sort of hoping my feelers won't get back to me. Expotech, the company that's behind them, barely has a site to speak of, and there isn't anything on the PR page of Adhoc just yet.
Anyways, we did try to get the word out, but it's hard since most (and by most I think I mean all) of the people who do this are volunteers and you can only ignore the grumpy landlord for so long before spending your time on for-pay gigs.

MacHack Stays Put in June -- Despite Apple's recent move of the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) to June in San Francisco, a single day after the MacHack developers conference, the MacHack organizers have announced that MacHack will remain in its originally scheduled spot from 19-Jun-03 to 21-Jun-03 in Dearborn, Michigan.
I still highly recommend MacHack: it offers the best combination of real-world information and industry networking I've seen, and I will definitely be attending (and presenting at) MacHack.
Apple may be the 600-pound gorilla of this industry, but it would still be nice to see consideration of the effects of throwing that weight around, along with a little common courtesy (such as notifying the MacHack organizing committee in advance).
