Madame Morrible comes to the party, and approaches Galinda with a training wand, informing her that Elphaba was the one who insisted that Galinda be included in sorcery class.
Suddenly, both girls overhear Madame Morrible yelling down to the guards and to the gathered citizens of OZ: Madame Morrible cries out that Elphaba is loose in the castle, and is not to be trusted; she is evil, says Madame Morrible, and is responsible for the horrible mutation of the flying monkeys.
