(TLZ) Futurama Madhouse > What's New?
So to start with, when I first stumbled upon the Madhouse just about two years ago, there were exactly two pictures from one contributor in our Fan Photos section.
It's by a band from Fredericksburg, VA. USA called Atomic Raygun Attack.
Now if that isn't a very Futurama sounding name for a band I don't what is. Anyway, you can listen to their music and download the MP3s (and yes, it's legal 'cause they say so).

 Encyclopedia Gothica: Monica Richards
Madhouse recorded and released a self-titled album on Fountain of Youth Records in 1984, and went on to become a staple act in the Washington D.C. punk scene.
In the later stages of Madhouse, the band began to lean in a darker direction and Monica as a singer began to display a tremendous amount of diversity; in the summer of 1985 they recorded and mixed their second album, from which they released the "Mecca" single.
This resulted in the band's forced hiatus while Monica went through months of voice therapy and training, and when "The Artist formerly known as..." offered the band a helpful sum of money for their name (which he wanted for his jazz project), the group conceded that Madhouse had run its course.

From the very beginning the band underlined its approach not to copy the setlists of the numerous coveracts throughout Germany but to go for the great songs of the 1980s and 1990s in conjunction with selective adding of current popular titles, however.
The set up of the band (main vocals, 2 x guitar, 2 x keys, bass and drums) indeed offers great potential for variety and that's what the band has been making use of from the very beginning.
Luckily enough the band's philosophy was somewhat in line with some large audiences' preferences and hence the Madhouse Flowers performed several hundred successful gigs throughout Germany including appearances on huge festivals, supports for numerous national and international stars and starlets as well as live broadcasting in television and radio.
