Having travled around Amercia on a six week trip the Madison Hotel was not one of the better hotels we stayed at.
Can't comment on the breakfast we didn't use it but if you walk a few blocks up Madison avenue there is a chinese restaurant/take away where the food is cheap and tastey.
Overall the hotel is a fair price for the New York location, with clean but basic rooms.
