The southern region of Chile, commencing from the transition provinces of Arauco and Malleco and extending to Magallanes, about 1,700 kilometers in length, has, in general, a rainy temperate climate, though as may be expected over such a great range of latitude, the rainfall and temperature present many variations.
The quality of the forests of the coastal cordillera of these provinces, also of the forests of Chiloé, Aysen and Magallanes, is notably lower, tending to deteriorate as the latitude or altitude increases.
Thus, in the Northern provinces of Tarapacá, Antofagasta and Atacama - the Norte Grande - desert conditions discourage the occurrence of natural forests, and such woody vegetation as occurs is xerophilous and restricted to certain localities.

The Magallanes anniversary is the historic event of this century and surely the celebration from 2019 to 2022, when the expedition returned to Seville, will involve the Philippine islands of Samar, Leyte and Cebu, where the explorer died in combat with native warriors.
Perhaps the people of Sorsogon may like to reestablish the Spanish shipyard in Magallanes town, which used to build and repair Spanish sailing ships used in the Manila-Acapulco Galleon trade.
Cecil and I laughed about our plans, knowing that we still have to build Sorsogon’s first golf course, revive its sports facilities and do what must be done to generate the right political will of the people and their leaders.

 Agusan Del Norte
Flanking the province are Mt. Cabutuan (918 meters aove sea level) on the northeastern municipality of Kitcharao and Mt. Mayapay with an elevation of 718 meters on the northeastern side between the municipalities of Buenavista and Butuan City.
This highland is found on the northeastern portion of the province in the municipality of Remedios T. Rumualdez.
The Magallanes River in the municipality of Magallanes which, for the present is being utilized as a long pond, links up with the Agusan River.

Dante Simbulan Jr., who represented the anti-landfill coalition Alyansa Kontra Magallanes Landfill (AKML), told the committee that according to a recent study, the landfill site is within a “water recharge area”, and a connecting point of water going to Cavite and the province of Batangas.
This was indicated in an ordinance dated November 7, 1990 issued by the Municipal Council of Magallanes when they were asking for funds from the DENR for a reforestation project.
This opinion is also held by Magallanes Mayor Filomeno Maligaya, who even cited a letter from the Forest Management Bureau saying that the landfill site does not fall within a “priority critical watershed” or a “proclaimed watershed”.

Legend says that prior to the coming of the Spaniards, there is this small barrio along the side of the mountain in the southwestern part of the province of Cavite having an area of approximately 6,920 hectares.
When the civil government was revised by the americans in 1900, the head position was known as Municipal President and Don Modesto Cuajanco was the first to assume the position.

On September 16, 1973, the principal figures of the Government of President Allende were transferred to Dawson Island (where there were already other prisoners from the region), located in the Province of Magallanes, in the extreme south of Chile.
Article 2 area that “the measure shall be carried out in the military camp located in the northern sector of the locality of Pisagua, Commune of Huara, Province of Iquique”.
The third and final article provides that the persons arrested shall be subject to the supervision and control of the military garrison of Iquique or of the authority of the Armed or the Police Forces to which they delegate those powers”.
