		Magneto (alias '''Erik Magnus Lehnsherr''') is a mutant in the Marvel Comics universe.
		Magneto found himself allied with Professor Xavier and the X-Men when a group of heroes and villains were abducted by the Beyonder, a nearly omnipotent yet frustratingly short-sighted being, to an alien world to participate in the Secret Wars.
		Magneto was one of the many mutants to lose their powers, and was left a broken man. Magneto has since arisen to criticise his son, Quicksilver, for his quest to restore mutant powers.

		I personally think that apart from Magneto, the Dark Phoenix is a brilliant character more than Professor X. What really worked in the comics but wasnt explored in the films is Cyclops, the leader of the X Men, why was he made into a wimp in the films?

		I mean, he could have been completely not there and it wouldn't have changed the X-Men any, and for that matter there's little different that would have happened with the New Mutants if someone else had become their teacher.
		However, the characterization of the New Mutants is spot-on and doesn't suffer in the slightest for the introduction of the new girl (the same, sadly, cannot be said for Kitty Pryde, whose brief appearance is marred by uncharacteristic dorkiness.) And the new character may be larger than life, but she's nonetheless very real.
