		Occidental Mindoro (Filipino: Kanlurang Mindoro, “Western Mindoro”; Spanish: Mindoro Occidental) is a province of the Philippines located in the MIMAROPA region in Luzon.
		Its capital is Mamburao and occupies the western half of the island of Mindoro; Oriental Mindoro is at the eastern half.

		Mangyan is the general name for the indigenous tribes who live in the province of Mindoro.
		The Buhid Mangyans live in the towns of Roxas, Bansud, Bongabong and some parts of Mansalay in Oriental Mindoro, and in the municiplaities of San Jose and Rizal in Occidental Mindoro.
		Most of the Taubuid Mangyans live in Occidental Mindoro, but there are some who live in the towns of Socorro, Pinamalayan and Gloria, Oriental Mindoro.
