Mahallat (in Persian:محلات) is a city located in the Markazi province of Iran.
The city is famous for a large warm water spring flowing from mountains in North into the plain areas of South used for agriculture as well as the urban water supply.
Dialect spoken in Mahallat is a version of bigger branch of dialects spoken in central Iran (Yazd, Isfahan, Khonsar) with several words having an eye-catching connection to old Persian.

KHOMEIN, Markazi Province – Governor of Mahallat said Tuesday that some $22.87 million of goods were exported from this central city in the last Iranian year (ended March 20).
Hassan-Beigi put the volume of exports at 25,409 tons, saying that Mahallat comprises 5.8 percent of the total exports of Markazi Province, ranking third after Arak and Saveh.
Currently, one ministry manages forests developments while range protection is included under the authority of another office, he added, implying that is the main reason behind irreversible damage to the natural environment.

, an official in the Flower Cooperative Society of Mahallat, Ebrahimi, told the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) on Friday.
Ebrahimi added after the required processing, the dried flowers would be exported in beautiful wooden frames and peaces of furniture called “Mizgol”.

TEHRAN,Nov. 1, (Mehr News Agency) – Head of National Research on Flowers and Decorative Plants (NRFDP) in Mahallat city, Markazi province, said that Mahallat’s flower industry was approved to export its daisies to the world market under the Popov Protocol.
The Research Organization of Iran’s Ministry of Agricultural-Jihad provided the molecular and genetic specifications of the newly improved daisies of Mahallat and sent it to Popov headquarters, he stated.
The exclusive right to produce novel daisies will be reserved for the NFRS, so that it may license or discard any work on these new species Shafiei added.
