Mahamane Ousmane (born 20 January 1950) was a Nigerien political figure.
Ousmane got second place in the July 1996 presidential election, third place in the 1999 presidential election and third place in the November 2004 election with 17.4% of the vote.
Ousmane has been president of the country's National Assembly since 1999 and is leader of the Democratic and Social Convention-Rahama party.

Mainassara cited the yearlong deadlock between Ousmane and Amadou as the reason for his coup.
Ousmane and Amadou were released from prison in early February.
