In case of projects in the Delhi circle, the returns on investment (RoI) were expected from the fourth year onwards in three operators scenario, whereas the same are likely in the fifth and sixth years of operations for the rest of category ‘A’ circles like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra.
The RoI in the first year of operation in Delhi is -24.1 per cent, while in Maharashta and TN it is -21.8 and -21.9 per cent, respectively.
In the fourth year of operation the RoI in Delhi is 2.9 per cent and that of Maharashta and TN is -1.1 and -6.8 respectively.

The Maharashta government declared an outbreak of Leptospirosis in the municipal areas of Mumbai and Kalyan-Dombivali today after the disease claimed a number of lives following the Mumbai floods.
The outbreak is reminiscent of the recent Streptoccocus suis bacteria epidemic in China, except it seems that the Maharashta government acknowledged the problem long before the Chinese government came public with theirs.

Scondras notes that public health officials, the Indian Council of Medical Research, and CEOs of drug firms in Maharashta are compiling lists of potential treatments they would like to research with the United States.
He adds, however, that any clinical trials conducted in India will require the assistance of local researchers and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health, so that any successful drug can be submitted to the FDA without problems.
