Chaudry came to Indian in August to boost the  support for restoring democracy in Fiji.
Coming to the Rajkumar kidnapping, Veerappan demanded that about 50 members of a militant Tamil group in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu prisons to be released.  He also demanded a few other conditions as well aimed at protecting Tamil Nadu interests, but lets focus just on the prisoners release demand.  Since Mr.
Chaudry might have come across the on-going Rajkumar kidnapping story.  It seems hard to believe that he would have missed the parallel in the two cases.

But it seems Chaudry has learnt much from Major General Sitiveni Rabuka, resorting to communalism to acquire power, seeking the sanctuary of the rural vote, in tandem with a robust anti NFP - SVT campaign to galvanise the Indian vote behind the FLP.
