		Kolkata, Nov 7 (IANS) All is not fair with the choice of Maidan, the vast green acres in the heart of a severely polluted Kolkata, as the venue of the city's most awaited annual cultural event - the Kolkata Book Fair.
		Dutta, who is an unrelenting crusader to save the Maidan greens and city's landmark Victoria Memorial from pollution and encroachments, said it was the same government which came forward unsolicited in November 2003 and said it would not allow the Maidan to be abused from fairs.
		While this "lungs of Kolkata" faces increasing threat from fragmentation by roadways, encroachment by the city and urban pollution, it is also home to one of the world's oldest turf clubs.
