Former Boney M star Maizie Williams is suing the band's founder and former Bmg record label mogul Frank Farian for withholding millions of pounds in royalties.
Williams, 54, now performs under her Boney M persona on the cabaret circuit throughout the UK, but is barely making ends meet financially.
And although a new musical based on the disco outfit entitled Daddy Cool is set to hit London's West End stage in August (06), she claims the original band won't benefit from it.

Boney M - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The group was created by producer Frank Farian in 1975 and was composed of four West Indian artists working in London, Germany and the Netherlands: singers Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell, model Maizie Williams and DJ Bobby Farrell.
The song went on to become a hit and it was then that Farian decided to hire a team of dancers and vocalists to 'front' the group.
Bobby Farrell – the male face of the group – and Maizie Williams contributed to studio recordings but for reasons only known to Frank Farian were apparently left off the final mixes, while their numerous and highly competent live performances from 1977 onwards were never in any doubt.

Maizie claims that she has been cheated out of millions of pounds in unpaid royalties, and is taking legal action against Frank Farian and record label BMG.
For Maizie and her lawyers, it is a clear-cut case: she, like the other three group members, was given a contract entitling her to a share of the profits from the songs, and that agreement has been broken.
Farian and the record label, meanwhile, argue that Maizie was primarily a dancer not a singer, that she was paid for her work as a performer and that she is o wed nothing.
