		Aklan Gov. Carlito Marquez last Sept. 1 barred the collection of the fee inside the passenger terminal at the jetty port in Barangay Caticlan in Malay, the jumpoff point to Boracay, which is also under the jurisdiction of Malay.
		Aklan is the only province in Western Visayas with the thickest coconut cover, and many Aklanons are dependent on the coconut industry for their livelihood.
		Aklan has now a total of 300,578 voters for the regular elections, while there are 25,182 registered voters for the SK elections.
