 | | A victim of the last Jukum/Tiv communal crisis, who finds solace in Makurdi city, Benue State and earns a living through sales of carpet, has cried out to Governor George Akume to rescue him from the hands of the state Urban Development Board which has demolished his only means of livelihood. |
 | | Iyopiye even claimed the boss of the board confirmed to him that his application for approval of a container on the land cannot be approved because of political interest which he could not explain. |
 | | However, Iyopiye headed for a Makurdi High Court and filed a suit with a motion for interlocutory injunction restraining the board, including its agents or servants, from demolishing his business premises pending the determination of the substantive suit filed. |
