		Maldita Vecindad ("Damned Neighborhood") combines elements of just about everything you could name, and some you can't, with abandon, not even caring whether someone will think it cool to use that particular driving beat with an orchestra of mandolins and rapid-fire rap lyrics, or that klezmer clarinet over the power ballad.
		Maldita Vecindad have some pretty important things to say, some interesting observations and interpretations, but that never stands in the way of the music -- the two go hand in hand here.

		Maldita Vecindad is a rock en Español band from Mexico whose music is a mixture of punk, rap, ska, funk, and Latin.
		The tour was in support of their first album, the aforementioned "Maldita Vecindad y Los Hijos del Quinto Patio." Their 1992-93 "Pato de Perro" tour included, Mexico, the U.S. and a six months in Europe.

		Born out of the post-earthquake youth solidarity movement in Mexico’s capital, band members were students of journalism, art and history.
		One of the first Mexican rock bands to ally themselves musically and politically with the U.S. Chicano culture, Maldita first toured the United States in 1989 to sing their songs of urban life and marginalization in Mexico’s biggest city.
