		Navy's eastern command radioed their colleagues in the air force that an unidentified aircraft was flying low over the area where the rebel boats had been sequestered, following which the air force had contacted Colombo for instructions as its air squadrons scrambled to engage the sea-plane.
		A major disaster was averted by the air force high command in Colombo asking its eastern command to allow the aircraft to be left alone, but the incident has been taken up at the highest levels in Colombo.
