The Maldon Road and Burnham Road signs and their poles be removed from either side of the directional sign at the Junction with Main Road (Mundon), leaving the Burnham Road signs in front of A1 Schmitz Cargobull Ltd. and at the junction with Fambridge Road in situ.
The Maldon Road sign recently erected opposite Hazelhurst be removed completely and relocated to the junction of Maldon Road with Cold Norton Road and The Street (Latchingdon) opposite The Old Police House, where it could be seen by motorists travelling along Cold Norton Road towards Latchingdon.

Maldon and Dengie District is to be found mainly between the two rivers Blackwater and Crouch with 1st Maldon and 1st Heybridge at the head of the river Blackwater.
We cover a very large area of land and not surprisingly with a district that's surrounded on three sides by water we have four Sea Scout Groups and a Sea Scout troop attached to 1st Maldon.
We are in negotiations with a local land owner to acquire some land to develop as a camp site.

It was agreed to thank the District Council for the new signs but request that the new sign in the vicinity of Roundsmans Cottage be removed (as it was superfluous) and used to replace the old and dilapidated ‘The Street’ sign situated in front of Fairwinds where The Street commenced.

On Monday 8th May 2006 the four members who are going to attend the World Jamboree in 2007 are seen here receiving a cheque from the Mayor's Fund.
The cost to attend this Jamboree is about £1800.00 each for the whole period of the experience.
