A man of sterling worth and a well-known citizen of Malheur, was born in Minnesota in 1860, and with his parents moved to this state in 1864, settling near Walla Walla, Wash.
In November 1892, he was appointed county treasurer to fill out an unexpired term, and has gained the confidence of his fellow citizens to such an extent as to cause his election in 1894 and again in 1896.
